Neotype from "Manantavadi ('Manantoddy') (11° 49′ N, 76° 01′ E), Wynaad, Kerala, India".

Western Ghats of southwestern India in Kerala (Mananthavady and Sulthanbathery) and Karnataka (Mercara), up to an elevation of over 2000 m.
