Type locality: "Kottigehar, Kadur", Karnataka, India. Neotype from "Chikmalagur (roughly 35 km North-East of Kottigehar, Karnataka", India.

Distribution

Southwestern India in the Western Ghats (Chikmagalur, Muthodi, Mercara, and Kottigehara, Karnataka) in evergreen and semievergreen rainforests, 800-1200 m elevation.
