Atelopus walkeri Rivero, 1963, Caribb. J. Sci., 3: 117. Holotype: stated as UMMZ 48077; actually 48007, according to Cochran and Goin, 1970, Bull. U.S. Natl. Mus., 288: 144, Kluge, 1983, Misc. Publ. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 166: 24. Type locality: "Don Diego (S[an]ta. Marta Region), Colombia"; same publication on page 119 given as "heights east of San Miguel, 6,000-7,000 ft.", which Kluge, 1983, Misc. Publ. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 166: 24, regarded as the collection locality of the holotype.

English Names

Walker's Stubfoot Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 40).

Distribution

Northern flank of the Sierra Santa Marta region of the Departamento Magdalena, northern Colombia, between 1500 and 1800 m.
