Known in the Western Ghats from Athirimala, Bonakkad, Chathankod, Ponmudi, Kalpetta, Mananthavady, and Sulthanbathery (Kerala), and Kannikatti (Tamil Nadu), India.
Confused with Raorchestes femoralis and Raorchestes glandulosus (both as Philautus) prior to its naming according to the original publication.
