Philautus hoipolloi Manamendra-Arachchi and Pethiyagoda, 2005, Raffles Bull. Zool., Suppl., 12: 260. Holotype: WHT 2673, by original designation. Type locality: "Haycock (Hiniduma), alt. 660 m (06° 20′ N, 80° 18′ E)", Sri Lanka.

Pseudophilautus hoipolloi — Li, Che, Murphy, Zhao, Zhao, Rao, and Zhang, 2009, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 53: 519. Provisional change by implication.

Distribution

Widely distributed acorss the lowlands of southwestern Sri Lanka, 15-684 m elevation.

Comment

Resembles Pseudophilautus pleurotaenia, Pseudophilautus asankai, and Pseudophilautus auratus (all as Philautus) according to the original publication. De Silva, 2009, Amph. Rep. Sri Lanka Photograph. Bopage, Wewalwala, Krvavac, Jovanovic, Safarek, and Pushpamal, 2011, Salamandra, 47: 173-177, reported the species in lowland forest in the Kanneliya Forest of southwestern Sri Lanka.
