Type locality: "COLOMBIA, Antioquia, municipio de Sonsón, vereda Caunzal, flanco oriental de la Cordillera Central, ca. 15 km al sureste del municipio Argelia, 1500 m."

Known only from the type locality (Municipio de Sonsón) on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Central, Antioquia, Colombia, 1500 m elevation.
