Polypedates insularis Das, 1995, Hamadryad, 20: 20. Holotype: ZSIC A8731, by original designation. Type locality: "circa 2 km E mouth of Galathea River, Galathea National Park, Great Nicobar India".

Great Nicobar Island, India, below 500 m elevation.
Comment
Most similar to Polypedates leucomystax according to the original publication. Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 199-200, provided a brief account. Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 93, provided systematic notes, access to literature, and range, and noted that records of Polypedates leucomystax from the Nicobars are based on this species.
