Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento del Cauca, Municipio Belalcázar (= Páez), Km 11 carretera Belalcázar-Tóez, flanco oriental Cordillera Central, 2° 45′ latitud N, 76° 00′ longitud W de Greenwich, 2800 m."
