Philautus kerangae Dring, 1987, Amphibia-Reptilia, 8: 28. Holotype: BMNH 1978.1771, by original designation. Type locality: "kerangas camp 200 m., Gunung Mulu N. P., Fourth Division, Sarawak", Malaysia, Borneo.

Distribution
Forests at elevations up to 1200 m in northern Sarawak; also recorded in southeastern Sarawak, Malaysia, on the Kalimantan (Indonesia) frontier at around 200 m elevation.
