Philautus davidlabangi Matsui, 2009, Zool. Sci., Tokyo, 26: 438. Holotype: KUHE 19594, by original designation. Type locality: "Gunung Serapi, Matang Range, in the suburbs of Kuching, Sarawak (01° 36′ N, 110° 11′E, alt. 330 m a.s.l.)", Malaysia.

Known only from the type locality (vicinity of Kuching, Sarawak) in the Matang Range, Bornean Malaysia.
