Type locality: "on a leaf 1.5 m above rocky seep in a patch of dense, evergreen forest, approximately 10 m from large stream in Pu Hoat Proposed Nature Reserve, Que Phong District, Nghe An Province, Vietnam (19.700° N, 104.738° E, 1,110 m; . . .)".
