Atelopus nepiozomus Peters, 1973
Atelopus nepiozomus Peters, 1973, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 145: 32. Holotype: USNM 193543, by original designation. Type locality: "slightly above Suro Rancho (also called Gualecenita), a single house on the trail between Limón and Gualeceo, approximately 16 kilometers airline west of Limón (which is now known as General Plaza), Morona Santiago Province, Ecuador, approximately 3000 meters".
English Names
Gualecenita Stubfoot Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 39).
Distribution
Eastern flanks of Andes in Zamora-Chinchipe and Morona-Santiago Provinces, Ecuador, in subparamo and paramo habitats between 2000 and 3450 m elevation.
