Ixalus latopalmatus Boulenger, 1887, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 5, 20: 97. Syntypes: BMNH (2 specimens), by original designatio. Type locality: "Mount Kina Baloo", Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo).

Distribution

Northern and western Borneo.

Comment

Südostasiens: 84-86, to compare this species to other ranids of the Sunda Shelf region. Malkmus, Manthey, Vogel, Hoffmann, and Kosuch, 2002, Amph. Rept. Mount Kinabalu: 170-171, provided an account. Das, 2007, Amph. Rept. Brunei: 67, provided a photograph and brief account. Arifin, Iskandar, Bickford, Brown, Meier, and Kutty, 2011, Zootaxa, 2744: 39-52, provided molecular evidence that this name may cover at least two cryptic species.
