Atelopus chiriquiensis Shreve, 1936, Occas. Pap. Boston Soc. Nat. Hist., 8: 269. Holotype: MCZ 19966, by original designation. Type locality: "'from Mr. Lewis' place [4 km NE El Hato del Volcán, 1500 m],' Rio Chiriqui, Viejo and branches, Panama Republica".

English Names

Lewis' Stubfoot Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 39).

Distribution

Western Panama (Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro-Cerro Pando) and Cordillera de Talamanca of Costa Rica, cloud forest of 1400-2100 m elevation.
