Atelopus oxyrhynchus carbonerensis Rivero, 1974 "1972", Bol. Soc. Venezol. Cienc. Nat., 29: 603. Holotype: BMNH 1968.940, by original designation. Type locality: "La Carbonera (San Eusebio), 2330 m., Estado Mérida, Venezuela".

Distribution
Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Bosque de San Eusebio) in humid montane forest in the Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela.
