Rana supranarina Matsui, 1994, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 111: 403. Holotype: KUHE 9094, by original designation. Type locality: "Maira-gawa River (123°53′E, 24°19′N, alt. 80 m), near Komi in Taketomi-cho, Okinawa Prefecture (Iriomotejima Is., Yaeyama Group of the Ryukyu Archipelago), Japan".
