Type locality: "COLOMBIA, Departamento del Cauca, Municipio de San Sebastián, Inspección de policía Valencia, ca. Km. 5-6 por camino de herradura de Valencia a Quinchana, ca. 1° 51′ latitud N, 76° 47′ longitud W de Greenwich, 2900 m-3000m".

Known only from the type locality (near Valencia, Municipality of San Sebastián, Cauca, Colombia, 2900-3000 m elevation, on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Central.
