Rana orba Stuart and Bain, 2005, Herpetologica, 61: 483. Holotype: FMNH 256489, by original designation. Type locality: "on a leaf of an herbaceous plant growing from a rock face 2 m above Houay Ting Tou Stream in evergreen forest in Nakai-Nam Theun National Biodiviersty Conservation Area, Nakai District, Khammouan Province, Laos, 17° 58′ N, 105° 34′ E, 700 m elevation".

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Currently known from the northern Truong Son (Annamite Highlands) of the Laos-Vietnam frontier in eastern Khammouan and Bolikhamxay Provinces, Laos, and Ha Tinh and Thua Thien-Hue provinces, Vietnam, 200-700 m elevation.

Comment

In the Rana livida complex according to the original publication, and therefore in Odorrana, sensu Che, Pang, Zhao, Wu, Zhao, and Zhang, 2007, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 43: 1-13; by implication. Bain, Nguyen, and Doan, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 110, provided a locality from Thua Thien-Hue Province and briefly discussed the range.
