Reports of this species from the mainland (Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaya) and Java are in error according to Yang, 1991, Fieldiana, Zool., N.S.,, 63: 35, and Inger, Orlov, and Darevsky, 1999, Fieldiana, Zool., N.S.,, 92: 43.
