Distribution
Mexican states of Aguascalientes, Zacatecas (southern), Colima, Jalisco, and Nayarit, associated with tributaris of the Río Ameca and the Río Grande de Santiago drainages.
Comment
In the Rana tarahumarae group (= Rana pustulosa group) according to the original publication, formerly confused with Rana pustulosa. Ahumada-Carrillo, Vázquez-Huizar, Vázquez-Diaz, and García-Vázquez, 2011, Herpetol. Rev., 42: 397, provided a record for southern Zacatecas, Mexico, and discussed the range.
