Reviewed by Moler, 1993, Cat. Am. Amph. Rept., 561: 1-3. Austin, Lougheed, Moler, and Boag, 2003, Biol. J. Linn. Soc., 80, found that population samples of Rana okaloosae are imbedded phylogenetically among populations of Rana clamitans.
