Distribution
Eastern North America from southern Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba (Canada) south through eastern Minnesota, eastern Iowa, and central Missouri to eastern Oklahoma and East Texas; thence east to to north-central Florida and southern Quebec, Labrador, and Nova Scotia (Canada) with isolated populations in Newfoundland; introduced in Hawaii, the vicinity of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada), and in the USA at Toad Lake (Washington), and near Ogden (Utah).
