Rana moellendorffi Boettger, 1893, Zool. Anz., 16: 363. Holotype: SMF 1072. 2a; SMF 5432 (formerly 1072.2a) designated lectotype by Mertens, 1967, Senckenb. Biol., 48(A): 45, apparently in error. Type locality: "Insel Culion, Calamanianes-Gruppe, Philippinen".

Distribution

Lower montane and lowland forests of the Palawan Island group (including Balabac, Palawan, Busuanga, Coron, Culion, Caluit, and possibly other island connected to Palawan in the Pleistocene), Philippines.
