Hylarana (Sylvirana) menglaensis Fei, Ye, and Xie In Fei, Ye, Jiang, and Xie, 2008, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 33: 201. Holotype: CIB 890166, by original designation. Type locality: "Zhushihe of Mengla County , Yunnan Province (21.48°N , 101.56°E; alt . 1000 m)".

Sylvirana menglaensis — Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Herpetol. Sinica, 12: 35. See comment under Ranidae record.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Mengla, Menghai, and Ximeng Counties, Yunnan, China; presumably to be found in adjacent northeastern Myanmar, northern Laos, and northwestern Vietnam.

Comment

In the Hylarana (Sylvirana) nigrovittata group, and previously confused with Hylarana nigrovittata, according to the original publication. Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 3: 1155-1160, provided an account, figures, and map for China and placed it in their Hylarana (Sylvirana) hekouensis group. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2010, Colored Atlas of Chinese Amph.: 317, provided a brief account including photographs.
