Distribution

Montane central and southern Vietnam (Gia Lai, Quang Nam, Thue Thien-Hue, Quang Binh, Da Nang, and Kon Tum provinces); Annamite Mountains in Laos; hilly eastern Cambodia, 700-1200 m elevation.

Most similar to Rana milleti according to the original publication. Bain and Nguyen, 2002, Herpetol. Rev., 33: 63, provided an additional collection record. Stuart, 1999, in Duckworth et al. (eds.), Wildlife in Lao PDR: 48, reported the species in Laos. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 26, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Chuaynkern, Ohler, Inthara, Kumtong, and Dubois, 2004, Nat. Hist. J. Chulalongkorn Univ., 4, reported on the species in Cambodia. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 26, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Stuart, Sok, and Neang, 2006, Raffles Bull. Zool., 54: 139-140, provided an account and record for Cambodia. Stuart, 2005, Herpetol.
