Bufo kelloggi Taylor, 1938 "1936", Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 24: 510. Holotype: EHT-HMS 21, by original designation; now FMNH 100088 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 44. Type locality: "Two miles east of Mazatlán, Sinaloa", Mexico.

Central Sonora south along the coastal plain to Nayarit, Mexico.
