Type locality: "found in the forest only"; by implication in South India; given as "Malabar, South India" by Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 156.

Distribution

Evergreen forests in the northern parts of Kerala and adjacent Karnataka, as well as the forest areas near Topslip in Tamil Nadu, Western Ghats region, southwestern India, 500-2000 m elevation.
