Rana iriodes Bain and Nguyen, 2004, Am. Mus. Novit., 3453: 12. Holotype: AMNH 163925, by original designation. Type locality: "Mt. Tay Con Linh II, Cao Bo Commune, Vi Xuyen District, Ha Giang Province, Vietnam (site 2: 22° 46′ 10″ N, 104° 49′ 53″ E, elevation 1400 m)".

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Known only from Mt. Tay Con Linh II in Ha Giang Province, northeastern Vietnam; presumably extends into adjacent Yunnan, China.

Comment

Most similar to Rana daorum and Rana changanensis according to the original publication. Stuart, Bain, Phimmachak, and Spence, 2010, Herpetologica, 66: 64, discussed the possibility that Amolops daorum and Amolops iriodes may be conspecific, and placed this species in their Amolops monticola group.
