Rana cucae Bain, Stuart, and Orlov, 2006, Copeia, 2006: 44. Holotype: AMNH 168730, by original designation. Type locality: "Vietnam, Lao Cai Province, Van Ban District, Nam Tha Commune, collected along a tributary of the Nam Tha River in submontane evergreen forest, near 21° 55′ 23″ N, 104° 22′ 43″ E, 640 m elevation".

Odorrana cucae — Che, Pang, Zhao, Wu, Zhao, and Zhang, 2007, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 43: 1-13. by implication.

Amolops cucae — Stuart, 2008, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 46: 51.

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Known only from the valley of the Nam Tha River and its tributaries in Nam Tha Commune, Van Ban District, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam, at ca. 640 m elevation.

Comment

Related to Rana archotaphus (now Amolops) according to the original publication. In the Amolops monticola group of Stuart, Bain, Phimmachak, and Spence, 2010, Herpetologica, 66: 52-66.
