Comment

See Poynton and Broadley, 1985, Ann. Natal Mus., 27: 136-137, who suggested that the features of Rana grayii rhodesiana were due either to introgression with Rana fasciata, or a close relationship to it. See accounts by Lambiris, 1988, Lammergeyer, 39: 98-100, Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 359, and Du Preez and Carruthers, 2009, Compl. Guide Frogs S. Afr.: 426. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 515.
