Strongylopus kitumbeine Channing and Davenport, 2002, Afr. J. Herpetol., 51: 137. Holotype: CAS 225064, by original designation. Type locality: "Kitumbeine Forest" on Kitumbeine Mountain, an extinct volcano in northern Tanzania.
