Nothophryne broadleyi Poynton, 1963, Ann. Natal Mus., 15: 326. Holotype: NMZB (formerly UM) 4331, by original designation. Type locality: "Dzole (8,900 ft. = c. 2,715 m.), Mount Mlanje, Nyasaland [= Malawi]".

English Names

Broadley's Mountain Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 102).

Mongrel Frog (Ananjeva, Borkin, Darevsky, and Orlov, 1988, Dict. Amph. Rept. Five Languages: 116; Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 301).

Distribution

Mount Mulanje (Malawi) and Mount Ribaue (Mozambique), above 1200 to almost 3000 m elevation.
