Afrana vandijki Visser and Channing, 1997, J. Afr. Zool., 111: 192. Holotype: TMP 80222, by original designation. Type locality: "Swartberg Pass . . . . The Swartberg Pass crosses the Swartberg mountain range at 1800 m (33° 21′ S, 22° 03′ E)."
