Cameroun, 18: 112, were confused with Ptychadena straeleni, according to Perret, 1979, Bull. Soc. Neuchatel. Sci. Nat., 102: 18. See also accounts by Poynton and Broadley, 1985, Ann. Natal Mus., 27: 150, and Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 325.
