Lanzarana Clarke, 1982, Bull. Brit. Mus. (Nat. Hist.), Zool., 43: 179. Type species: Hildebrandtia largeni Lanza, 1978, by original designation.

Hildebrandtia (Lanzarana) — Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 55-56. Treatment as subgenus.

English Names

Lanza's Frogs (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 99).

Distribution

As for the single species: Somalia in widely separate localities in the south (Bakool and Bay provinces) and north-central (Galguduud and Nugaal provinces); presumably in adjacent Ethiopia.
