Phrynobatrachus stewartae Poynton and Broadley, 1985, Ann. Natal Mus., 27: 163. Holotype: NMZB 9493, by original designation. Type locality: "Rumpi, Malawi".

English Names

Stewart's River Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 104).

Stewart's Puddle Frog (Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 312; Channing and Howell, 2006, Amph. E. Afr.: 293).

Distribution

Northern Malawi and southern Tanzania.
