Comment

Frétey, 2008, Alytes, 25: 99-172, summarized the literature. Mertens, 1938, Abh. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 442: 16, regarded Arthroleptis taeniatus Sternfeld to be a synonym of Arthroleptis ogoensis, but abandoned this position without comment subsequently ( Mertens, 1967, Senckenb. Biol., 48(A): 1-106). Not addressed by Zimkus, Rödel, and Hillers, 2010, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 55: 883-900, so not assigned to species group.
