Bufo taiensis Rödel and Ernst, 2000, Herpetofauna, Weinstadt, 22: 10. Holotype: SMNS 9269, by original designation. Type locality: "Elfenbeinküste: Taď-Nationalpark, 5° 15′—6° 07′ N, 7° 25′—7° 54′ W, etwa 23 km östlich der Ortschaft Taď", southwestern Ivory Coast.

Bufo amieti Tandy and Perret, 2000, Rev. Suisse Zool., 107: 390. Holotype: MHNG 2594.17, by original designation. Type locality: "lowland rainforest near Taď, Taď National Park, Côte-d'Ivoire (5° 52′ N 7° 28′ W, altitude 123 m)". Synonymy by S. Stuart in Frost, Grant, Faivovich, Bain, Haas, Haddad, de Sá, Channing, Wilkinson, Donnellan, Raxworthy, Campbell, Blotto, Moler, Drewes, Nussbaum, Lynch, Green, and Wheeler, 2006, Bull. Am. Mus. Distribution

Known only from Tai National Park in southwestern Ivory Coast, although likely in adjacent Liberia.

Comment

In the Bufo tuberosus group according to the original publication. See comment under Bufo amieti. Schätti, Perret, and Mariaux, 2002, Cat. Comm. Types Amph. Rept. Mus. Hist. Nat. Geneve, Vers. 4.0 (Jan. 2002): 6, retained Bufo amieti as distinct from Bufo taiensis.
