Distribution

Forest floor or perched on low leaves along the banks of small rivers from eastern Dem. Rep. Congo and western Uganda; possibly into adjacent Tanzania.

Zool., 108: 63, disputed the distinctness of this species from Phrynobatrachus petropedetoides. Poynton, 1964, Ann. Natal Mus., 17: 144, rejected the association of this species with Natalobatrachus.
