Distribution

Known from the type locality (Castelinho) and Santa Teresa, Espírito Santo, Brazil.

Comment

The species name is a noun in apposition in reference to a genus of bats. Gasparini, 2002, Herpetol. Rev., 33: 222, provided the second locality and commented on the range. See account by Prado and Pombal, 2008, Arq. Zool., São Paulo, 39: 1-85 [57-60].
