Stombus goyanus Miranda-Ribeiro, 1937, O Campo, 1937: 24. Syntypes: MNRJ 296-97 (4 specimens) according to P. Miranda-Ribeiro, 1955, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 42: 408 (although 6 specimens in original description—DRF); MNRJ 296A designated lectotype by P. Miranda-Ribeiro, 1955, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 42: 408. Type locality: "Veadeiros e rio São Miguel, Goyaz [= Goiás]", Brazil.

Stombus goianus — Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 92. Incorrect subsequent spelling.

English Names

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Goiás) and the Distrito Federal, Brazil.

See comment under Proceratophrys cristiceps. Brandão and Araújo, 2001, in Ribeiro et al. (eds.), Cerrado—Caracterização e Recuperação de Matas de Galeria: 560-604, reported the species in the Distrito Federal, Brazil.
