Proceratophrys cururu Eterovick and Sazima, 1998, Copeia, 1998: 159. Holotype: ZUEC 9557, by original designation. Type locality: "Serra do Cipó (19° 17′ S, 43° 35′ W, 1300 m alt. ), Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil".
English Names
Toad-like Ground Frog (Eterovick and Sazima, 2004, Anf. Serra do Cipó: 107).
Distribution
Serra do Espinaço, including the Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Comment
Similar to Proceratophrys cristiceps and Proceratophrys goyana according to the original publication. Leite, Pezzuti, and Viana, 2006, Check List, 2(1): 5, provided the second locality. Eterovick and Sazima, 2004, Anf. Serra do Cipó: 107-108, provided a photograph and brief account.
