Amietophrynus pardalis (Hewitt, 1935)
Bufo regularis pardalis Hewitt, 1935, Rec. Albany Mus., 4: 288. Syntypes: AMG (2 specimens), by original designation; now in PEM. Lambiris, 1988, Lammergeyer, 39: 54, reported the "holotype" as being in the PEM; this may constitute a lectotype designation by implication. Type locality: "Gleniffer, Kei Road, C[ape]. P[rovince].", Rep. South Africa.

Distribution
Thorveld and open savanna in extreme southeastern Western Cape Province through southern Eastern Cape Province to Albert Falls, 20 km north of Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal Province, Rep. South Africa, below 1500 m elevation.
