Comment

Prior to the review by Tyler, Davies, and Martin, 1981, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 29 (79): 24, the name Uperoleia orientalis was applied to most Uperoleia in the Northern Territory. Tyler, Davies, and Martin, 1983, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust., 107: 240, concluded that the distribution is probably confined to coastal areas. Davies, 1989, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust., 113: 115, discussed the distribution. See comment under Uperoleia. See brief account by Tyler and Knight, 2009, Field Guide Frogs Aust.: 150-151.
