Crinia georgiana Tschudi, 1838, Classif. Batr.: 38, 78. Holotype: MNHNP 759, according to Guibé, 1950 "1948", Cat. Types Amph. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat.: 31. Type locality: "Port du Roi Georges in einem einzigen . . . . Nova Hollandia" = King George's Sound, Western Australia.

Pterophrynus affinis Günther, 1864, Proc. Zool. Soc. London, 1864: 47. also described as new by Günther, 1864, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 3, 14: 312. Holotype: Presumably BMNH, although not so noted by Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 265; Parker, 1940, Novit. Zool., 42: 80, regarded BMNH 1936.12.3.86 as the holotype; and the holotype reported by Cogger, Cameron, and Cogger, 1983, Zool. Cat. Aust., Amph. Rept., 1: 13, as BMNH 1947.2.20.2, this presumably being a reregistration of Parker's specimen. Type locality: "Western Australia". Synonymy by Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 264.

Distribution

Southwestern Western Australia from Gingin in the north inland to Dumbleyung and east to Cape Le Grande and on Mondrain Island.
