Microhyla sholigari Dutta and Ray, 2000, Hamadryad, 25: 39. Holotype: ZSIC A9061, by original designation. Type locality: "Bhargavi stream bed near Doddasampige (12° 27′ N; 76° 11′ E, Biligirirangan Hills, Chamrajanagar District, Yelandur Taluk, Karnataka State, south-western India".

Biligirirangan Hills, Chamrajanagar District, Yelandur Taluk, Karnataka State, and in adjacent Kerala, south-western India, 600-1800 m elevation.
