Holotype: SMK, according to the original publication; the reports of syntypes as BMNH 1909.8.18.6-7 by Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 100, is apparently in error (now renumbered BMNH 1947.2.11.38-41 according to Inger, 1966, Fieldiana, Zool., 52: 129). Type locality: "Borneo (no precise locality)".
