Parhoplophryne usambaricus Barbour and Loveridge, 1928, Mem. Mus. Comp. Zool., 50: 260. Holotype: MCZ 13818, by original designation. Type locality: "in the forested hills to the west of Amani, Usambara Mountains, Tanganyika Territory [=Tanzania]".

English Names

Amani Forest Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 91).

Distribution

Forests of the East Usambara Mountains, Tanzania, ca. 900 m elevation.
