Dasypops schirchi Miranda-Ribeiro, 1924, Bol. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 1: 255. Type(s): Not stated; MNRJ 542 is holotype according to Miranda-Ribeiro, 1955, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 42: 409. Type locality: "Rio Mutum, E[spírito]. Santo, Brasilia [=Brazil]". Given as "rio Mutum, Colatina, Espírito Santo", Brazil by Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 33.
