Chiasmocleis anatipes Walker and Duellman, 1974, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 26: 1. Holotype: KU 146035, by original designation. Type locality: "Santa Cecilia, 340 m., Provincia Napo, Ecuador".
English Names
Santa Cecilia Humming Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 88).
Distribution
Known only from the type locality (Santa Cecilia, Napo, Ecuador); likely to be found in adjacent Peru and Colombia.
Comment
Chiasmocleis anatipes was suggested, in the original publication, to be close to Chiasmocleis leucosticta and divergent from other Chiasmocleis.
