Santa Cecilia Humming Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 88).
Known only from the type locality (Santa Cecilia, Napo, Ecuador); likely to be found in adjacent Peru and Colombia.
Chiasmocleis anatipes was suggested, in the original publication, to be close to Chiasmocleis leucosticta and divergent from other Chiasmocleis.
